Blog-O-Ween: Fortune Teller Gypsy

I have another fun Halloween look for you guys! This one was requested by a close friend (here you go, schmoopsie!) After thinking about how to go about this I realized how much gypsy related thangs I already have. Enjoy!DSCN1519Here’s What I Used:

Step 1: Create a flawless base, fill in your eyebrows and set the makeup.

Step 2: I used a Jordana white chubby eyeshadow stick (which I forgot to photograph) to draw in an almond shape for the third eye and the rays coming off of it and a line down the chin. You can skip the rays if you like. I then set the white with a white eyeshadow. NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk would be a good alternative or you could use cream paint.

DSCN1508Step 3: I used this deep taupe color from my Tarte Away Oui Go Palette to shade/outline all the white we just put down. I also used this color to contour my cheeks and jawline.

DSCN1511Step 4: Using the Rimmel ScandalEyes Pencil in Nude I added a waterline to my third eye, then with a liner brush drew on the iris using Slate and Black from the Lorac Pro Palette. Then with a black liquid liner I added the pupil, add a dash of white cream makeup (which is very opaque) for the eye reflection. Using that same matte black and deep taupe I shaded around the eye, adding a crease and the appearance of lashes.

DSCN1512Step 5: I used that deep taupe to shade the inner corners under my brows then deepening that with Urban from the Urban Decay Electric Palette (cool purple.) I put that deep taupe all over my lid/crease and under my eye really smoking it out low , then I used a black liner and shadow stick to  blacken my lid. I blended that out and set it with the matte black. I blended some L’oreal Infallable Pigment in Garnet to the inner corners, with some deep purple from the Lorac Pro Palette. I used my finger to pat in on to intensify the color. I then added black to the lower lash line and a light sweep of Urban from the Electric Palette to the very outside of the eye to make it look a little more sunken and bruise to fill up my entire eye socket.

DSCN1515Step 6: Added winged liquid liner, black in the water line, mascara, Ardell Demi Wispies on top and a pair of Kiss natural lashes to the bottom.

Step 7: Line lips with NYX Slim Pencil in Currant/Raisin, fill in with NYX Matte Lipstick in Siren, then just the inner portion with NYX Macaroon Lippie in Chambord (black) and pat a bit more of the Garnet pigment to the center.

DSCN1516Step 8: With liquid liner draw on your mystic symbols down your chin. These are the symbols for sun, moon and earth.

DSCN1517Step 9: Contour and highlight, I used the deep taupe and this Hard Candy Baked Powder in Tiki

DSCN1518Step 10: Pop in your spooky contacts, I got mine from Brilliant Contacts

Step 11: Accessorize! Add lots of rings, earrings and necklaces, the more the better! Find a pretty scarf and tie it into a turban, how to below. I added a feather to my turban, but feel free to add a broach or pin a necklace on. Add an off the shoulder shirt a tiered shirt and bonus points for a belly dancing scarf with the jingly bits. Get your tarot cards ready and Viola!
